Dropbox wants a slice of Google's and Microsoft's document business. The service, known for cloud file and storage sharing, added productivity recently, collaboration, and security tools, putting Dropbox in direct competition with Google Drive, Box, and Microsoft OneDrive (paired with an Office 365 account). If you use Dropbox on the desktop or iOS, read on for the exciting new enhancements you can put to work now. Scanning You can scan documents, notes, receipts, and whiteboards directly from your iPhone. Tap the button. ���������� ������������������� ����. Choose Scan Document. You can also take a picture of content or select an existing image in your Camera Roll to transform a photo into a document. Tap the button. Select Create or Upload file. Tap Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, or Microsoft PowerPoint to create a new file. Or tap Upload File to upload an existing file. Collaboration Desktop file sharing. If you're working on a laptop, you can now share files more efficiently. Just right-click a file or folder in your Mac Finder or Windows Explorer window and select Share. After you've shared your document, anyone with edit access can now highlight text or a photo in a file preview and ask questions or make comments. Security Restore a previous version. If you accidentally make undesirable changes to a document, you can now recover previous file versions within 30 days (a year if you're a Dropbox Pro user). If you've deleted the file, first open the trash to see all deleted files, right-click the file, and select Restore. Right-click the file and select Previous versions. As in Google Docs, you can control who sees a specific file and whether they can edit or only view a particular folder. Sign in to dropbox.com. Hover your cursor over the specific file or folder you'd like to share and click Share. Enter the true name or email address of the individuals you wish to share with. If sharing a folder, choose Can View or Can Edit from the dropdown list. One less feature: Automatic photography backups If you have a basic Dropbox account, as of July 22 then, 2016, you will no longer enjoy programmed backups of photographs and videos taken from your phone. To use this feature going forward, you must download the Dropbox desktop application and connect your phone to back up and manually upload photos, or else you must upgrade to Dropbox Pro.
